A one-day seminar to explore recent developments in the design and analysis of vehicle dynamic behaviour (VDC2009) was held in Cambridge on 2 April 2009. The seminar was opened by Prof Robin Langley, Head of the Mechanics Division of Cambridge University Engineering Department. One hundred delegates from the UK and Europe heard eleven presentations on vehicle dynamics and vibration, steering dynamics, tyre dynamics and path following control.
Given the success of the event it is anticipated that a similar event will be held in Cambridge in 2011. In the meantime, the AVEC10 conference to be held in Loughborough in 2010 provides another opportunity to hear about recent developments in vehicle control.
The presentations given at VDC2009 are listed below, along with links to the slides (where permission has been given by the authors). Note that copyright of the slides belongs to the authors unless otherwise stated.
