PhD Research:

  • Numerical modelling of a stratospheric tethered balloon system
  • Aerodynamic stability of a streamlined tether cross-section
  • Vibrations of cable-like systems
  • Fluid structure interaction - aeroelasticity
  • Applications include: Communications, meteorological monitoring, surveillance and geoengineering
