The Age of Stupid stars Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite as a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, looking at old footage from 2008 and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance? Directed by McLibel director Franny Armstrong .

"A fantastic film! Hugely recommended." - Prof David MacKay ( www.withouthotair.com ).
"Instead of trying to sustain the way we live, we might ask how to create a sustainable way of living." - Steb Fisher, Photographer.

On 22 May there will be 149 simultaneous screenings of The Age of Stupid around the UK (which is why we must start prompt at 7.30pm) followed at 9pm by a live event in London at the Royal Society of Arts in London featuring journalist and eco activist George Monbiot , head of climate impacts at the MET Office Richard Betts and Franny Armstrong (Director), plus a new video from the Vice-President of the Maldives, Dr. Mohammed Waheed Hassan , who will be talking on how they're getting on with their plans to go carbon neutral (the Maldives will be the first major community to be swamped by rising sea levels).
So with any luck we'll be able to log onto the internet afterwards and ask questions of the panelists. Read more about the launch event at the RSA site

The webcast will last about 45 minutes. They'll be taking questions which we will have to type into the discussion box online. The best questions will be put to the panel, so we need to think of some good questions! If you need to stay at home then you can still view/participate in the webcast at http://www.ageofstupid.net/webcast

There have been visits to this page, 1078 hits at the time of screening.

180 people attended the screening - a great turnout! thanks for coming.
