Abstract

Have you ever wondered how gyroscopes work?  Or even puzzled over the bounce of a spinning superball?  In this short lecture some of the mysteries of spinning objects will be unravelled. We'll have fun with lots of toys and hopefully throw one or two boomerangs - without breaking any windows!
