The Injector Dynamics group performs fundamental research into the stability of jets, wakes, flames and thermo-acoustic systems.
The group applies this research to industrial situations, such as the combustion chambers in aircraft engines and ground-based gas turbines.
The Advanced Instability Methods (AIM) Network, funded by EPSRC, has been set up in order to apply the
techniques of non-modal stability analysis to industrial problems.
